Their Last Stand

The Lupins make their last stand on the grounds of Hogwarts, fighting back to back, their side hopelessly outnumbered. According to a JKR chat/interview, Tonks was murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange, and Lupin by Antonin Dolohov. And so, this is their last stand.

Lupin is my favorite of all the people in Harry's world. He died a hero, and went to a place where he was healthy and happy. I like that message, that death is never the end, and that eventually you're reunited with the people you lose.

At any rate, this is one of my better pictures, especially with the dynamics of the two figures...something I often have difficulty with. So I hope this picture conveys the valor of Lupin and Tonks as they fight their last battle.

Edit: I fixed some of the things I didn't like about Lupin. It's not perfect, but it's better. I slimmed Tonks's thumb a bit, too! : )
