I was a bit inspired by ^ArtisticAunJuli's mention that she liked narwhals, and that she wanted a million of them. :D That tickled me. So here's a couple of narwhals for her collection.

I am sure the anatomy is horrible, and I have no clue is a narwhal calf would even have a stubby little tusk, but it was fun to draw anyway. I noticed when reading about them, that the calves are darker in color, which i thought was kind of neat. Probably for camouflage.

I have a pop-up book of animals I've had since I was very little...as long as I can remember. It was my favorite book for ages, which is why I kept it. That book was where I first heard of narwhals.

I like it, but it depresses me a lot. It makes me feel like the momma whale is sacrificing herself so that her baby whale doesn't get captured on a hook by fisherman.. :(

There goes a narwhal (line from a B-52's song called Rock lobster comes to mind. Followed by "Here comes a bikini whale!" conjures an interesting image).

Ha--a bikini whale. Scary image...I can see a blue whale of a humpbacked whale or something sporting a bright pink bikini...thanks for the mental image. :XD:
