Hm. From what I read of narwhals,m the one tusk tends to be on one side? In face some rare narwhals have *two* of them. (Those look very strange!) Though honestly, I was looking for cuteness more than anatomy, here. Thanks though. C:
Being in an oceanography class, yes, narwhals can have two teeth through the nostrum, however the one that's through is known as the unicorn horn most of the time in the near-middle of the face, not all the way to the side.
Narwhals always have two teeth; one for actual eating with and the other is the "horn." However in a rarity, both teeth poke through.
