Exploring the Wasteland

This was originally "13" but his character changed to be "113" when the RP forum I joined already had a "13". So here he is as 113:

Abilities: He knows a lot about machines, since he was alone for the first year of his life, and encountered only machines. He takes them apart when he can find dead ones, and learns how they work. He's a fair warrior, though is better with machines than stitchpunks.

Weapon(s): Two screwdriver shafts--he uses them like clubs.

Likes: he likes fighting, he likes singing, and he likes machines. (Unless they try to kill him.) He really likes exploring new places and learning and doing new things. He likes running around.

Dislikes: He doesn't like the machines that try to kill him. He doesn't like the Fabrication machine at all. Or people that are mean. He doesn't like cold, snow, or water.

About: He's hyperactive and eager to do just about anything new. He can't stay still at all--he's always fidgeting unless he's tired. (This doesn't happen often.) He's very trusting, and usually forgets what happened in the past.

He's a little slow mentally, and has trouble learning things like reading and math. Figurative concepts are really really difficult for him to understand. he's very literal-minded.

This is a rather more accurate version of my stitchpunk 13--exploring the ruined wasteland that was once a city.

He's got the tied bundle he carries on his back--a couple of screwdriver shafts and a needle (because he encounters things that want to eat him fairly often). It's all tied together with strong thread, which is wrapped around the bundle and attached to the cloth around his torso. The thread is used for sewing up rips.

I was pretty pleased with this one. 13 looks just right, the background isn't too shabby, and the textures aren't too horrible! moat importantly, I got his facial expression right--bright, eager, and excited about the adventure. He probably sees something in the distance that looks way too interesting to pass up.

Edit: I made some modifications to him based on suggestions I got in the very cool fan art critique night Friday. I added some khaki-green tint to the overall picture, I added some texture to the rocks, and to the kid's cloth body.

I added a little more shading to the pipe to match the figure a bit better. I also made his eyes slightly smaller and rounder...NOW he looks accurate. Thanks again, guys!
